Wintermute Expands into US Market with NYC Headquarters and Key Policy Hire
Wintermute has marked its official entry into the U.S. market by establishing its New York City headquarters, signaling a strategic push into one of the world’s largest financial ecosystems. The MOVE comes as the firm seeks to deepen its influence in shaping digital asset regulations.
The company appointed RON Hammond, former Senior Director of Government Relations at the Blockchain Association, as Head of Policy and Advocacy. Hammond brings nearly a decade of policy expertise, including drafting the Token Taxonomy Act during his tenure on Capitol Hill. His hiring underscores Wintermute’s commitment to navigating the evolving regulatory landscape.
"With the regulatory climate in the U.S. becoming more constructive, we see tremendous opportunity to foster responsible innovation," Hammond stated. He will lead Wintermute’s engagement with federal and state regulators, positioning the firm as a key player in policy discussions.
